Mr. Jonker joined Fieldpoint Private in October, 2018. He brings over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry. He came to Fieldpoint from JPMorgan’s Private Bank, where he was an executive director and client advisor, responsible for coordinating the investment management, wealth advisory and banking services for wealthy individuals, families and charitable foundations. He joined the firm in 2007 and was located in both the Greenwich, CT office – where he also served as the investment team leader – and in New York City.
Prior to joining JPMorgan, Mr. Jonker spent a decade with The Bank of New York as a vice president in the asset management and private banking divisions, working primarily with wealthy families. He was located in New York City and White Plains, New York.
Earlier in his career, he spent several years as a vice president in the corporate trust division of Bankers Trust Company in New York City, where he worked on providing investment, cash management and custody services to Fortune 1000 companies involved in environmental and mass tort litigation.
Mr. Jonker began his career in financial services in 1983 as a product manager and trader in the mortgage-backed securities department at Drexel Burnham Lambert in New York City, trading securities for wealthy individuals and families.
Mr. Jonker graduated from Kenyon College in 1982 with a bachelor’s in history. He attended the American Bankers Association School of Bank Investments, and the Cannon Financial Trust School. He is the former volunteer fire chief of the New Canaan, Connecticut Fire Department and enjoys obstacle course racing.
