Mr. Gray brings a mission-driven approach to his advisory work with private foundations and endowments, and the families that create them. As a founding trustee and the treasurer of The Countess Moira Charitable Foundation, Mr. Gray combines deep philanthropic experience with skill and proficiency in investment portfolio management. This includes investment policy and management, governance, grant-making, benchmarking, financial modeling, and annual audit readiness.
Beginning his career with JP Morgan, Mr. Gray implemented a global balance sheet risk assessment system, and later moved into a corporate credit role upon earning his MBA from NYU Stern. Subsequently, at BankBoston, he held a number of business unit finance officer and corporate strategic planning positions.
Returning to NYC in 1999, Mr. Gray co-founded Analytic Asset Management, managing the firm and actively managing stocks and bonds for institutional and high net worth clients in the U.S. and Europe. Analytic Asset merged into Fieldpoint Private in 2011. In addition to Fieldpoint’s unconflicted, undiluted and boutique investment platform, Mr. Gray offers a niche capability of direct management of stock positions in individualized portfolios, aided by the proprietary algorithmic stock rating system he created.
Mr. Gray speaks often on matters of philanthropy and governance, including multiple appearances at the NYC Accounting & Finance Show, and a variety of panel discussions and symposiums. Additionally, Mr. Gray is an avid poet and photographer, a Board Member of the NYC Exit Planning Institute, a volunteer with Delivering-Good, and a member of Fieldpoint Private Citizen Colleagues.
